Do you remember my Daily Makeup In May post? Yeah I thought I would do these every month and failed because I’m a creature of habit and I can wear the same cream eyeshadow for almost two months (I’m talking about MAC Groundwork paint pot). So I thought there was no point showing you my routine for June when all I changed was maybe a blush, bronzer and lipstick. But I did a bit of damage in Sephora a couple of weeks back and found some new favourites I’ve been wearing since. So here it is, my favourite daily look for the month of July concentrating on the glowy skin and colourful liner.
BASE: I finally got my hands on the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in the right shade (01 Finland) two weeks ago and I fell head over heels. Light coverage, enough hydration, super natural finish, SPF 30 and great staying power = my perfect summer base. For concealing I managed with only one this time and it’s the Origins Plantscription concealer in the shade ’01’ (my summer shade, I can’t really use that in winter). And to set it all in place I used the Bourjois Java Rice Powder that enhances the radiance even more.
CHEEKS: For a tiny bit of sculpting and light bronzing I used the NARS Laguna bronzer and then I dusted a bit of The Balm’s Frat Boy blush on the cheeks (very pigmented and such a great staying power). And to add more glow I patted the MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl on the high points of my cheeks.
EYES: As you know I can’t be bothered with powder eyeshadows on daily basis so I used just a tiny bit of Benefit My Two Cents cream eyeshadow to give my eyes a wash of bronzey colour. The focus of this look was obviously the teal-blue shimmery liner on my upper lash line – Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil in the shade ’24 Surfer Babe’ (the most gorgeous eyeliner colour I’ve ever seen). To finish of the eyes I used one of my favourite volumising mascaras, the L’oreal Miss Manga.
For brows (I’m sorry but I completely forgot to include them in the photo) I used my trusty combo - MAC Mystery eyeshadow and Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark.
LIPS: To match the coral blush and tie the whole look together I chose one of my spring/summer favourites, the MAC Crosswires lipstick.
