I’m pretty sure I failed miserably in posting daily makeup looks every/every other month. Thankfully autumn is here and the prettiest of colours and trends with it and I can’t wait to show you all of those autumn inspired FOTDs I’ve planned. But today I’m sticking with the original idea and I have a daily look for you that I’ve been wearing for several weeks now. As always, (almost)cream eyeshadow and a bold lipstick make appearance.
FACE: Dark berry lipstick shades have a tendency to enhance red/purple areas and spots on the face so it’s really important to do the base more carefully. When I need a bit more coverage I love mixing Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and Erborian BB Creme Light together. Jouer MMT covers much better than your average tinted moisturiser but as it’s oil free I love adding a bit of Erborian BB Creme to achieve a more natural finish.
To cover everything that’s still peeping through I used my trusty MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette and after that I set it all with Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder.
CHEEKS: To shape my face and give a bit of healthy look I dusted the The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder kind of all over and Clinique Cheek Pop in ‘Plum Pop’ on the apples of my cheek.
EYES: I love me some cream eyeshadow for daily use and recently I’ve been obsessed with my Colour Pops. Sure, they are not really cream but they are easily applied and blended with just my finger. Today I used a gorgeous metallic rose gold shade called Colour Pop La La. After that I sculpted my crease with a bit of bronzer.
To define the lash lines I used Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in the shade “Flirting Game” and Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof mascara.
LIPS: The whole look is definitely about bold berry lips and my absolute favourite lipstick for that purpose is MAC Rebel. Again it’s one of those shades that look different on everybody and I love how dark but saturated and juicy it looks on my lips.
