Easy nail art – Spring edition vol.1

Posted on .

I love spring, pretty pastel colours and easy peasy nail art. So I thought I would put these things together and bring you a lovely new nail series. I will be posting a few simple but eye-catching nail designs for every season. Even though I’m not a professional, I enjoy trying new things and playing with colours. Hopefully, I will inspire some of you to change up your routine and have fun with your nail polishes too. So let’s get right on it!

For the first ever ‘Easy nail art’ episode I chose to do this fool-proof twist to a french manicure. All you’re going to need are two pretty pastel nail polishes. No need for any special nail art brushes. And of course a good base coat and top coat. You should always use them if you want your manicure last longer. Here’s the list of products I used: OPI Nail Envy Original, Essie Tarte Deco, Essie Lilacism and Essie Good To Go Topcoat.
All you need to do is paint your nails with your base colour, lilac in my case, and use your second polish to colour in different kinds of shapes on the tip of your nails. I did a few triangles diagonally from left to right and alternately vice versa, chevrons on index fingers and typical french tips on my pinkies. You will most likely need to do two coats of the second colour to get a clean design. Now finish off with a fast drying topcoat and you’re done!

There you go… I hope you liked my easy nail art idea and definitely let me know in the comments if you’re going to try it out yoursef!
