Face of the day #3 – Cranberry smokey eye

Posted on .

For the third FOTD post I thought I would play with the most out of place looking eyeshadow in my collection. Every blogger stepped out of her comfort zone with this one and everyone used it differently. I know I didn’t came up with an everyday work/school kind of makeup but this would look outstanding on the night out.

BASE – Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 51 and MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette in ‘Light’.
CHEEKS – I tried to keep them very natural and subtle looking with this overpowering eye makeup going on – The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder in 01 and NYX blush in the shade ‘Natural’
EYES – MAC Eyeshadow ‘Cranberry’ all over the lid and on the inner half of the lower lid, ‘Satin Taupe’ in the outer half of the upper and lower lid both, ‘Sable’ in and slightly over the crease, then from the UD Naked Basics palette ‘Faint’ and ‘Crave’ in the outer V shape + ‘Foxy’ helped with the seamless blending on the browbone. After that black Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in the waterline and Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

NOTE: I swear that the eyeshadows on the brow bone look more blended in person. Also the colours are the slightest bit less vivid. I tried really hard but this is the closest I could get with my postproduction.

I also hope you won’t get bored with me choosing the same products over and over again but I can’t help it. They are my favourites and I really want this blog to be an honest place.

Back to the business, how did you like this more out there eye makeup? Will you try something more fun and colourful?
