Hello October, my favourite time of the year! There’s something so tempting and sexy about those autumn colours that I’m instantly feeling inspired when it comes to makeup. So obviously I prepared a new Face Of The Day look for you and this time my new-ish Marc Jacobs Beauty Parisienne eyeshadow palette steals the spotlight.
BASE: For a light coverage and glowy complexion I used the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in the shade ’01 Finland’. To conceal my dark circles I first applied the Bobbi Brown Corrector in the shade ‘Light Bisque’ and then buffed in the triangle shape the Maybelline Eye Eraser concealer. To set it in place I used the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot powder very sparingly.
CHEEKS: For a bit of sculpting and bronzing in one I used the Benefit Hoola bronzing powder and then I dusted a bit of Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in “Sweet” on the apples of my cheeks for a healthy pinky and glowy flush.
EYES: And now comes the fun… The whole look is done with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No 7 eyeshadow palette in ‘Parisienne’. First I applied the lightest shade on the whole lid and buffed the light brown into the crease. Then I patted the burgundy-eggplant shade on the outer 2/3 of the lid and the dark brown in the outer V. To smoke it even more I used the darker taupe silver on the left end throughout the crease. In the end I took the burgundy and the taupe silver shades also on the lower lashline.
For the liner I used the Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer and to hold my curled lashes in place I applied the Catrice Glam & Doll Mascara. Lastly to fill in my brows I used the MAC Mystery eyeshadow, just like always.
LIPS: To complete the autumnal look I used the newest addition to my MAC lipstick collection – the MAC Captive that looks definitely darker on my lips than on swatches.
I really hope you like this autumnal, purple hued look. And let me know if you’re equally excited for colder weather and vamped up makeup!
The shadows look amazing on you!! Loved the post!
